Theme your channel by adding a splash image as the channel background. The Splash option can be found under channel Settings (sprocket icon) and can be changed only by the channel owner (and account admins). The splash image will be automatically used as the channel thumbnail by default. You can also set a custom thumbnail under Edit Details which is also accessible from the channel Settings menu.
