Connect your Microsoft Teams Channel to a PixelMixer Channel

Follow these steps to automatically send PixelMixer meeting notes and recordings into Microsoft Teams.

1) Create a PixelMixer Channel

Before connecting, make sure you have a channel ready in PixelMixer where your meeting recordings will live.

  • Create a new channel, or

  • Use an existing channel dedicated to your team or project

2) Install the PixelMixer App in Teams

To enable delivery into Microsoft Teams:

  1. Open Microsoft Teams

  2. Select Apps (bottom left sidebar)

  3. Search for PixelMixer Notifications

  4. Click Add

  5. Choose the Team and Channel where you want PixelMixer updates posted

3) Select Your PixelMixer Channel

After installation:

  • You’ll be prompted to choose a PixelMixer channel

  • This channel will be the source for meetings sent into your Teams channel

4) Set Up Routing Rules (Optional but Recommended)

For more control, configure routing rules in PixelMixer:

  • Go to PixelMixer → Integrations

  • Create rules to map:

    • Specific meetings → specific PixelMixer channels

    • PixelMixer channels → specific Teams channels

This ensures the right meetings are delivered to the right teams automatically.

Query Your Meetings in Teams

Once connected, you can interact directly with your PixelMixer content from Teams:

  • Type @PixelMixer Notifications in your Teams channel

  • Ask a question about your meetings (e.g., “What decisions were made in the product sync?”)

The bot will search your PixelMixer videos and return relevant answers instantly.

What Happens Next

Once connected:

  • Meeting recordings are captured in PixelMixer

  • AI summaries and key moments are generated

  • Results are automatically posted into your Teams channel

Disconnecting Microsoft Teams

You can disconnect the integration at any time:

  • In Teams: remove the PixelMixer Notifications app from the channel or type @PixelMixer Notifications disconnect in your Teams channel

  • In PixelMixer: open your channel and select Disconnect Microsoft Teams

Tips

  • Use dedicated channels per team or project for cleaner organization

  • Set routing rules early to avoid manual sorting later

  • Install the app in the correct channel to avoid duplicate or misplaced notifications
